New North Collective
Going back to 2015, I was asked to join a group of northern singer/songwriters to collectively write and perform. The group has always maintained a flexible line up and over the last 5 years, put together a collection of stellar songs that reflect our combined northern experiences into song. Over the years we have performed at numerous theatre and festival stages across the country. In 2018, we recorded these songs in Whitehorse and plan to release them in the fall of 2021. See More Here
Andrea Bettger
I started working with Andrea Bettger around 2014 in different groups around town. Her music is a combination of classical, popular music and Metis fiddle music that is so popular in the north. She has released two CDs, “Snappy Day” in 2018 and “Bushchords” in 2020. Along with guitarist Ben Russo and drummer Al Bee, we have played in many festivals and communities in the north over the last 6 years and look forward to playing many more. See more here
Willie MacCalder
Back in the early 2000s, I was in the house band at “The Cave Club Jazz and Blues Bar” in Yellowknife backing up Blues musicians from the south. Wiliel MacCalder played many times over the years the club was running and he and I got along famously. Over the years, my friend Norman Glowach and I would fly Willie up from Vancouver to play a couple of weekends worth of gigs around town. The trio worked so well together, we recorded an album of songs from his repertoire and will be releasing it in late 2021. See More Here
